Riff

Riff is a community hub based on mutual support and a creative response to a daily life dominated by work and characterised by increasing alienation. The concept creates spaces for social interaction, exchange and shared experiences that can be replicated across the country. As an open, non-commercial space, Riff fosters an egalitarian atmosphere, acceptance and personal development. At the heart of the concept is the skills exchange market, where people share their knowledge, hobbies and interests with one another on a mutual basis, beyond formal hierarchies. A minimalist, inclusive corporate design lowers barriers to entry and encourages participation. This creates a *Second Everyday Life* that strengthens community and rethinks social cohesion.
